Hello
Thanks for your query.
The scanty and delayed periods are due to PCOS.
IT is a condition of hormonal imbalance, and the ovaries get studded with multiple cysts, leading to difficulty in ovulation and menstruation and conception.
There is no ' cure ' for PCOS, however it can be controlled with medication.
If not treated, there could be obesity and various other complications.
Metformin is used for treatment.
For conception, ovulation inducing agents could be used.
Weight loss and lifestyle management is the key.
Take care.
