Hi.

Noted the history about your house owner.
He has multiple and may be unrelated to each other problems hence all the diseases needs to be tackled separately and may not get treated simultaneously.
For example, DNS that is deviated nasal septum needs clinical evaluation by an ENT Surgeon along with CT scan of nose and sinuses which will decide whether he needs corrective surgery or not.
GED is a long standing disease needing long term treatment after appropriate investigations by an Upper GI Endoscopy and Barium studies. IF mild then a PPI like Pantoprazole and Domperidone should help him a lot and control of stress and anxiety along with dietary restriction may help a lot.
If there is associated symptomatic hiatus hernia then a corrective surgery may be needed.
Lumbosacral pain and peri-arthritis of right shoulder will be well dealt with by an Orthopedic Surgeon.
Dyslipidemia, vascular headache and CORD will be dealt with as per the presentation and investigations.
Hence he needs a multi-disciplinary approach and thus cost can be calculated after proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations by respective Specialists.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. T Chandrakant,

My husband, age 76, has had dizziness, right hand tingling, occasional headaches, and feeling nausea. He has had this for about a year now. His energy level is very low after doing a small chore. He has had CT scans (head), ultra sounds of the stomach which proved he has a polyp on his gallbladder. He had his prostate (cancerous) out about 9 years ago. He had 33-34 radiation treatments for this and was put on hormone treatment for two years. His blood pressure is normally fine and blood test show bilirubin normal although he has gall stones contained within the gallbladder. His doctor believes that he has the onset of Parkinson s disease but a specialist he was sent to says no. One other doctor also does not believe he has Parkinson s disease. So - what is wrong? He is becoming baffled as to what is happening to him. Please can someone help.

Over the last 7-8 years I had recurring chest pain . A series of tests were done including ECGs, stress test, halter test, Percentine perfusion test and CT scan andin late 2011 my cardiologist concluded that the symptoms were not heart related. Over the last two months my symptoms have returned: chest pain radiating into left arm, left side rib cage, chronic headache, sometime severe usually pressure in the ears and around them. Usually I wake up very early in the morning with chest pain, sometime palpitations and headache. Today I had a severe attack of headache as if my head is in a vice. It continues. I suffer from Acid reflux, somewhat hi blood pressure ( highest readinfg 139/ 78; average of last 11 readings 128/72) hi cholesterol, hypo thyroid (TSH up to 21.8). I am on Nexium 40mg, Metoprolol 50mg, Lipitor 20mg and El Troxin 0.075. My Endicronologist is trying to calibrate the Eltroxin dose. He thinks my symptoms are not Thyroid related. I have been trying to get an appointment with my GP since june 25. She is on holiday and the earliest appointment I got is August 17. My symptoms -- chest pain, headache, radiating pain in shoulder blade, sometimes left ribs, pressure in the eyes, ears continue and I think progressively getting worse. I was treated for prostate 8 years ago, monitored annually the PSA has been much below zero, negligible sometime difficult to trace. Sorry for such a complicated story. I do not know what to do. Should I go to the emergency everyday???? Will appreciate any suggestions

Hello Dr. Thank you for being available. Yesterday morning, I had a few bowel movements that were blonde color, but felt fine until around 6pm. I then started to feel extremely nauseous. I really didnt have an appetite , but decided to eat around 8pm. This morning, I had the blonde stool again. But this time I have a horrible headache that radiates to my neck and a rotten egg taste in my mouth (and dry mouth) as well as being nauseous. I am also very tired. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with diarrhea IBS . I am being treated with Librax and Phenegren if needed. I have taken Phenegren these past two days in hopes it will help me feel better. Although I know I have this problem, I ve never had blonde stools before and that is why I am on the web. It reminds me of a newborn s stool. I am writing in hopes you may be able to guide me in the right direction. I was laid off for two years and I no longer have health insurance. I did regain employment a year ago, but the company is so small, they cannot afford to offer health insurance, and I dont make enough to get insurance on my own. These days, health care providers turn you away if you dont have insurance. I would greatly appreciate any advice or thoughts you may be able to offer.
