OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
If the reports and the clinical examination suggest endometriosis, she may be considered for several treatments based on the response, grading of the condition and the intensity of the symptoms. Analgesics should be used for pain relief and to lessen the menstrual cramps. If she has relief from the pain and the bleeding with combination pills, they can be used though they are not the first line of treatment. Else, other modes of treatment should be considered bearing in mind the urge for bearing children. These include progesterone pills, GnRH analogues and Danazol. Surgical mode of treatment includes laparoscopic removal of endometriotic tissue or through laparotomy. Hope this helps.
