But as the patient is staying at a remote place, she is unable to get proper suggestion and medication. So could you please help me on this means what to eat and not to eat, whether this above medicine is sufficient or any other medicine she need and any particular exercise/Yoga to do for this disease.
Sir I am honestly requesting you kindly help me on this as i am too much worried for the same thing i have mentioned above.
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
After going your details this patient is suffering from Hypothyroidism, hence prescribed with Eltroxin as per your information thyroid level this must be TSH( Thyroid stimulating hormone) which is increased.
You have not mentioned what is the strength of Eltroxin, usually started with lower dose which can be increased depending of result of TSH later on.
In this disease body produces less thyroid hormone then it is required hence we need to give it from outside it should be taken before breakfast daily regularly.
As such no specific diet is required patient can take normal diet but remember to use Iodized salt in diet to ensure that there is no Iodine deficiency. Please take medicines as prescribed by treating Physician.
Patient can go for exercises and yoga which will help to keep fit.
Please repeat test after 2 month to adjust dose of Eltroxin.
Hope this information is useful to you.
Take care
Good Luck
