Hair fall can be caused due to several factors. But first, it is important to know what is normal hair loss? This is the hair loss that everybody has and the number of hair falling everyday vary from ten to hundred. Many people mistake this as hair loss and go to the doctor. It is very important to realize that this is normal and does not need treatment. In addition, hair loss can be classified as localized loss and generalized loss - as temporary hair loss and permanent hair loss. Most causes for hair loss do not result in baldness, and the common condition that we see as baldness is refered to as common baldness. Causes such as systemic diseases, local skin diseases, emotional stress, endocrine problems, anemia, vitamin deficiency, drugs, cancer, rheumatic disease can cause hair loss but most of these are temporary and once the primary condition is treated, the hair returns.

Hi... My sister got a dengue fever in early July and she got a really bad one with the very high fever; very bad nausea and vomiiting; and she suffered from it for more than a week. About a week ago, she started to have a hair fall problem but it is becoming worse with large chunk falling everyday. And for your info, my sister has Retinitis Pigmentosa. What can she take or do to prevent this hair falling problem to worsen. Thank you so much.

I was given amoxycillin for a chest infection and did not improve after 48 hours, therefore I went back to the GP who then gave me Clarythmomycin as it resulted in pneumonia. I have been off work for 3 weeks now and feel completely washed out and exhausted. I had a chest x-ray which was clear, but was given an inhaler temporarily as I was out of breath and wheezy. I still have an incredible amount of phlegm which has now changed from brown to sometimes green to clear. Unfortunately, for last 3 days, my trachea is extremely bruised to touch and feel as if someone is pressing my windpipe. Although my tonsils aren t swollen, my ear hurts deep inside. I have had to start taking paracetamol again this week as feel weak, wobbly and feel as if I am going backwards again instead of improving. I am 45 years old. Non-smoker.This is the 3rd time I have had pneumonia in 18 years. I am reasonably fit and healthy, and I don t suffer from colds normally, but whenever I come down with something, I seem to suffer with it. How long does it take to get back to normal? Are the trachea symptoms part of the initial pneumonia symptoms or would I need to see the GP again. I am feeling extremely fed up of generally feeling unwell. I am taking a tonic (Metatone) and drinking and eating healthily. Basically, is it normal to feel this unwell for so long.

My daughter and grandson and myself went to Melton market last Tuesday seven days ago on. Friday I started to feel unwell, ache all over really bad went to bed at six Saturday developed a real bad head eyes hurt to move Sunday the same feeling like I had been run over by a steamroller, Monday morning after not sleeping found I had a rash all over chest back torso top of legs. I went to doctors they said it was a virus just take paracetamol Tuesday my daughter came and she was just the same all the same symptoms she also had cold sores which she has never suffered from before. I rang my doctor back he feels that we may contracted it from the market the previous Tuesday. What I would like to know is what can it be we are both worried about bird flu as we bought a goose and brought it back in the car with us on that day. I have not had cold symptoms but I feel as if they are just there underneath like slight symptoms like a sneeze or two and a slight feeling of a cold waiting to come out ,should we inform the market because we cant be the only ones to have contracted something that day.? Also I remember Friday night I kept having chest pains like stich but I took no notice thought it was indigestion, I do still have them slightly now.

Hi, I think I may have a paracetamol allergy. I have a rash around my mouth and chin. I took one Dolo 650 day before yesterday in the afternoon. Yesterday morning, I woke up with the rash. It has not subsided but it has not got worse either. It is very itchy. What doctor should I consult? Should I go to a skin specialist for immediate relief? Also how to determine for sure if it is an allergic reaction? I may have had a viral infection too as my children had viral fever at that time
