Suffering From Sinus, Swelling And Pressure In Right Eye, X-ray Shows Par Nasal With Faint Haze Of Frontal Sinus. Suggestion?
sixty seven year old female with continuing (years of malady) sinus difficulty, including swelling and pressure around the right eye orbit. X ray report states paranasal with faint haze of frontal sinuses as sinusite, also deviazione of the nasal septum . Was operated for deviatiated septum 30 years ago. What is the next step or rx? Your next step in the treatment of the sinus problem is to first confirm the diagnosis of sinusitis and also to assess the severity of the problem.
First you need to undergo a diagnostic nasal endoscopy to assess the state of sinuses and also to assess the previously done surgery
Then you need to take the CT scan of the nose and paranasal sinuses which is a must as X-rays are now no longer indicated for the assessment of the sinuses
depending on the findings of the above two the further plan can be formulated. If you do get the reports then kindly share them with me so that i can offer you better guidance
