Suffering From Severe Emphysema. Done With Pulmonary Function Test. Is It Because Of Lung Or Liver?

I am a 40 year old female with very severe emphysema no oxygen, lately I have had lower right rib pain towards my back some burning with it and at times hurts to touch and also feels like a catch in it . My pulmanary function test has my fev1 of a 32% and my dolc at 57 percent and my RV of 195 could this be from my lungs or liver? 3 years ago i had a test done it was either a MRI or ct scan can t remember which one that said slightly enlarged fatty liver.

Hi,
Thanks for your query,
Pain on right side can be both from lung pathology like pneumonia or pleuritis as well as from liver disorders like liver abscess etc.
Your lung function tests are depicting severe abnormality and at this age, either test is wrong or else you have alpha-1 anti trypsin deficiency. Kindly repeat the test.
You may go for chest xray PA view and ultrasonography of abdomen. Their report will guide further treatment....

Best wishes
