Suffering From Reactive Asthma

I am a 52 year old male, in very good health, however as a child I had wheezing horribly. I grew out of it. Now, as I age, I am having a more difficult time breathing while exercising. I am in the military at the end of a career but must pass my upcoming Army Physical fitness test. My primary physician once said he thought I had Reactive Asthma. He said this because when I sing loudly or start laughing heartily, the same thing happens, I start coughing and I am out of breath. What are some good medications I could consider?

Hello
Thank you for contacting HCM.

As you are known case of asthma so i would recommend you to always carry following medications with you in your bag so that if you suffer from any attack then you can use it without any problem:
1. Ventolin Inhaler ... direction of use are present in the box
2. Tab Ventolin 4mg 1 tablet if you have wheeze and shortness of breath

>I would recommend you to take Tab. Mytika (montelukast) 1 tablet daily for 1 month. It will subside the symptoms and has been proven really helpful in asthmatic patients.
>Syp Hydralin DM (Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan) 1 table spoon three times a day for 3 days in case of cough

Avoid:
Dust & anything that you observe aggravates wheezing
