Suffering From Pink Eyes. Contagious? Treatment?

Hi, I have a roommate that is having continuous pink-eye. First it was on his upper eyelid and that eventually burst and dried up. Just after that he now has one on his lower lid of the same eye twice as large. Is this contagious? He cant see a Doctor since he has no health insurance. Is there something I could suggest to him to clear it up?

Hi..
The history which you are giving looks like stye (swelling of lid with inflammation..)
It is not contagious. Your friend can use an antibiotic eye ointment and drops, warm compresses and oral antibiotics if necessary to get relieved..
Take care..
