Suffering From Pain On The Right Side Of The Groin Area

I have been experiencing groin pain on right side for a year and three months. I can no longer sit indian sytle and struggle with shoes and socks. Crossing right leg over left hurts but it can be done. It hurts with every movement but sometimes certain positions make it extremely painful. I wake from sleep often with shooting pain. I have been seeing a spine specialist and will be going to orthapedic doctor who specialized in joints and hips. Any idea what it might be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Right-sided groin pain can occur due to a hernia, hip issues, testicular pathologies. Thorough physical examination, X-ray of hips, Ultrasonography of the testis are needed at this point to come to a definite diagnosis.

Please be advised to follow up with your primary provider for necessary evaluation. Meanwhile, you can take Tylenol for pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
