Suffering From Migraine. Not Cured By Medicine. Any Proper Medicine To Get Cured?

hello doctor my mother is suffering from migraine from last 25 years and whenever she has an attack its very severe..its so severe that we had to take her to hospital and there the doctor used to give her injection after which she used to feel somewhat good..but after 1 week she will have the pain again..earlier she used to have migraine attack very rarely but now everday she has little bit of headache ...and doctor has told her that after sometime her migraine will get finished but its getting worse..

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

For your mother, you need to put her on preventive medications, which could prevent the headache episodes in the future, as she has very frequent headaches.

Using pain killers when she gets headaches may relieve her pain on that day, but they can not prevent headaches in the future.

Preventive medications include flunarizine, beta blockers, Topiramate, divalproex, etc.
