Suffering from lower back pain during the pregnancy of 35 weeks

im 35 weeks pregnant , my lower back is hurting. the past few nights i havent been able to sleep on a back or left side because it feels like my organs are being smooshed and it causes shortness of breath . today, while working, i got this back pain and i felt as though i was laying on my back when i was standing and sitting. my lower back is still hurting hours later. could this be labor?

Hi,thanks for query.Pain in abdomen more in lower part,coming at regular intervals along with some discomfort and watering or leaking from vagina,points towards labor pain.Back in later of stage of pregnancy is common as uterus has got bulky and its supports are stretched.Left side position is preferred at this time.Still in case of too much trouble you can speak to your doctor and take an analgesic.Watch for baby movement inside.bye.
