Suffering From Inner Ear Infection & Vertigo On Left Ear

3 months ago, I have inner ear infection on my left ear with vertigo. Vertigo last for a week but hearing of my left ear has not fully recovered. I can only hear noise but not conversation as the the hearing for high frequency has not recovered. When I move my head from left to right I can hear poping sound. Does it mean that I have a loose eardrum? Will loose eardrum affect my hearing?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
You probably had a bout of nerve deafness .
You might have taken oral steroids which is the treatment modality for this.
Secondly take care that you do not suffer from Diabetes and Hypertension.
You have difficulty in understanding conversation because of the nerve deafness.
The popping sound could be because of the non proper functioning of the ventilation tube between the middle part of ear and back of nose.
Get an ENT consultation and nasal drops and antihistaminics and decongestant for that
In doubt do reply
