Suffering From High Triglyceride Problem. Taking Atorsave D, Having Acidity. Side Effect? Should I Continue Medicine?
i have high triglyceride problemand cholesterol , doctor prescribe me atorsave d 10mg.... i take from last 20 days...but from last 5 days i feel pain in chest it is like acidity.... so is it side effect or what....should i continue or not...........and i also want to how long i should continue this tablet if it is no side effect
About 5 to 10% of patients taking Atorvastatin (Atorsave) do experience chest pain. Since you have been experiencing chest pain following intake of this medication it is likely that it might be due to the drug. I will advice that you consult your primary physician and get it checked.
Since I am not aware of your lipid profile it is difficult to advice on the length of the treatment. Clinically the dose and the length of the treatment is based on your blood lipid levels that needs to be monitored at regular intervals by your doctor.
