Suffering From Epilepsy, Chronic Condition. Taking Epilex Chrono Twice A Day. History Of Smoking, Alcoholism. Treatment?

i am the paitent of epilepsy iam getting attack from 10 years right now i am 21 iam taking epilex chrono 500mg and 200mg twice a day ,,,,,,,,,,sometimes i smoke and i also take alcohol ocasinaly but now ihave stoped taking alcohol but i get fits once in two to three months i also go to the gym ,,,,,,,,but now iam fed up i want to get rid of this....

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I can understand your frustration, as your epilepsy is still not under good control even after more than ten years of anti-epileptic use.

You need evaluation to find out the type of epilepsy, so that the correct medicine can be used. Also, one has to use the correct dose.

Some people with epilepsy may require two or three different types of medicines for good control of seizures.
