Hi thanks for your question.
Endometriosis is a disease which causes dysmenorrhea that is painful menstruation.Regestrone contains, norethisterone a progesterone hormone.it is used for contraception, normalizing the menstrual cycle and for dysmenorrhea.Registrone is safe to use for dysmenorrhea. However using it for dysmenorrhea for 12 years is not recommended. Other ways for treatment of endometriosis are also available. I would suggest you to consult a gynaecologist who may be able to treat your wife.
Hope this answers your question.

i am awaiting a laproscopic exploratory surgery on the 23rd to diagnose for endometriosis.. i have been to the ER 4 times over the past month and a half for the pain.. the er doctor gave me a rx for lortab, just enough to get me through the weekend until my OB could give me some until my surgery... she told me that she does not prescribe narcotics to non-surgery patients.... she prescribed ultram(has done NOTHING.. ive tried it with ibuprofen, 2 at a time.. and NOTHING) is there anything over the counter I can take that might equal the strength of lortab? my nurse told me to keep going to the er for pain since my dr wont give me anything... but that just seems odd.. any info will help.. thank you! Lisa
Hi ! I need help as I recently went to see a doctor for some severe pain in my abdominal area, and luckily it was only due to ovulation days. As the doctor did a scan to check my uterus, was shown that I have an abnormal womb and suspected endometriosis as well since I always get very painful periods, and she prescribed duphaston so that it ease the pain and to maintain my pregnancy if I do become pregnant by any luck.. so my question is will I be able conceive? And is duphaston really going to ease my period pain?

Hello. I had a complete hysterectomy at 44 and do not regret it at all, except for some water retention in my belly which I take a water pill for. I m 49 now and have been taking Vivelle.dot for 5 years and really all is well. However, recently, I spoke with a DO who said even though I don t have a uterus I should be taking progesterone. Helps with sleep, anxiety, weight gain and bone loss. She prescribed 100 mg. capsule of progesterone once nightly. About to take it tonight....but reading stories has made me wonder. So many different opinions. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I have a very light brown discharge on occasion and I am 6 weeks pregnant. I already had one miscarriage in October. My hcg levels are doubling however, I am taking vaginal suppositories of progesterone as mine was low at 8.7. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
Hi......I am 5 weeks pregnant....Actually, my pregnancy was conformed while i was on a trip to Mumbai, hence had to see a doctor there. He had prescribed (Folvite - in morning, oral), Dubagest sr 300 (after breakfast, oral) and Duphaston (at bedtime, oral). After i came back to Delhi my gynaecologist made a slight change. She removed Dubagest sr 300 and asked to take Susten-VT (bedtime, vaginal). I wanted to know is taking Duphaston and Susten-VT safe, that too at bedtime. Since both are progesterone. Thanks
