Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

I am sorry about your loss. First of all, while I understand your sense of urgency based on your age, your should know that at age 30, based on your age alone, there is no increased risk for miscarriage.

So you have had two unexplained first trimester losses. While this carries a slightly increased risk for this happening again, we do not consider it 'out of the ordinary' until there have been three unexplained first trimester losses. Nonetheless, in women with two miscarriages, it would reasonable to consider:
1. An ultrasound to assess the uterus before you are pregnant again
2. Additional lab workup related to diabetes and something called 'antiphospholipid antibody syndrome'.

I hope that this helps. If you have more questions, please click on "ASK ME A QUESTION" link above to directly ask me a question!
