Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

If you are my patient, my first advice is to quit smoking and alcohol for at least 3 months till the eardrum is healed.
Most of the damaged eardrum will heal in 3 months.
As both affects the process of healing.

Always keep your ear dry.
I mean do not swim or shower.
If it is necessary use shower cap or place tightly packed cotton.

As you have cough and cold for last 2 weeks, it is mostly due to infection or GERD.

I suggest you to take Azithromycin 500 mg in empty stomach one hour before meal once daily for five days.
It is most useful in upper respiratory infections.
For cough, Take syrup Ambrolite -D 1 tsp for 5 days.

Hope this helps.
If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Regards,
Dr.Manjeth.

Hi thanks for using HCM.

1. Take anti histamine, NSAID with enzymes

2. If required may require antibiotic. Get examined by your doctor.

3. Stop smoking and limit alcohol.

Then ear drum wil heal on its own for max 4-6minth.

If any problem persists then consult your doctor for further management.
Hope this helps you.

Regards
