Suffering from diabetes. Taking metformin, dianil, needs to take medication after meals. Can I skip them till evening?

I have been prescribed to take metformin and dianil recently and am under observation to check out the recently discovered diebetic condition. I left my medication at home this morning and i need to take them after meals. Is it okay to skip it till evening or should I go the nearest pharmacy and ask for them? Thanks
