INSULIN IS THE SAFEST DRUG IN PREGNANCY IT HAS NO DELITORIUS EFFECT ON BABY AS INSULIN DOES NO CROSS BLOOD PLACENTA BARRIER.
REGARDING EFFECT OF DIABETES ON FETUS ARE LOTS LIKE-MACROSOMIA,CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE, TRANSPOSITION OF GREAT VESSELS, MACROCEPHALY,CONGENITAL DUODENAL ATTRESIA,NEURAL TUBE DEFECT,CAUDAL REGRESSION SYNDROME,OLIGOHYDAMNIOS,POST DATED PREGNANCY, INTELLECTUAL PERFORMANCE ON BABY ETC.BUT SHOULD REMEMBER IF WE CONTROL BLOOD SUGAR strictly then there is very less chance of this complication.
