Suffering From Cold And Cough, Headache And Back Pain. What To Do?

I have been suffering from cough n cold since around 8-10 days..but since last 3-4 days i m having lil bit fever which is like coming and going, and apart from it i have headache (only in left side) and also back pain..
Usually whenever i have cold n cough and or mild fever i take medicine on my own and it generally subsides, but this time the medicines are also not working.
Due to pretty tight schedule of my work, i dont have ample time to visit a doctor, will go to doctor this weekend meanwhile what should i do??

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

Headaches can occur as a result of cold and fever. It can also be due to sinusitis.
Single sided headaches are usually due to migraine attacks, which can be aggravated during cold and fever.

You should follow some precautions like :-
1. Don't miss a meal.
2. Have adequate sleep.
3. Avoid mental and physical stress.
4. Avoid smoking/alcohol, if any.
5. Drink lots of water daily.

You should get yourself clinically examined by your doctor.
Painkillers like Ibuprofen one tablet twice daily after meals along with an antacid like Omeprazole 40 mg will be beneficial.

Steam inhalation will be helpful in case of sinus headache.

Also get your eyes checked for refraction by an Ophthalmologist.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
