I have a friend that has cirrhosis/ hep c/ascites/ juandice and still continues to drink he has a lot of shortness of breath and now is starting to vomit and says he feels like something is stuck in his throat but refuses medical attention what could this new symptom be

He must be having esophageal varices, he needs urgent admission to hospital for his work up.
He needs to do the following investigation.
1 liver function tests
2 ultra sound abdomen
3 full blood count
4 renal function tests
