I would suggest you meet a General Physician, MD in Internal Medicine as it is a multidisciplinary approach. Seeing a specialist for each problem is not the right approach.

HELP!!!!!! Should I or shouldn t I take the high blood pressure medication? I asked the doctor to give me the medication with a blood pressure of 175/90. But I read about the drug he gave me online and noticed they say these types of meds are not for those who have asthma . I also read that once you start taking them u can t stop so I am reluctant to start taking it. Now I had a real bad case of respiratory infection about 6 months ago. Needed to use a nebulizer. Had the first serious case of lung spasms in my life. Went to another doctor for that issue and I forgot to tell the doc who prescibed the bp meds that I had asthma situation going on. Drug company says people with asthma should not take bp meds . So I find myself in dilemma. What should I do? Especially my sleep apnea (I think is the main culprit for the bp problem) is killing me and I can t use a cpap machine. At what level does bp go before I have a stroke? Just wondering? Also I suppose heart attack is very possible not too far in the future. EDIT ADD:I am currently trying some herbal remedies and I have found one is helping its called horse chestnut. I have gotten some relief of blood pressure as I noitce I have a reduction in hypertension . Will also look into hawthorn berry next. Just bought a bp machine on ebay can t wait to get it. Normally cost 79 dollars and I only paid 25 dollars with shipping.

hello. i am a 24 yr old female. i have asthma. For the past 6 years i experiance bouts of extreme fatigue, swollen chin and auxillary nodes, diarrhea, muscle pain and weakness, small headaches, gerd, and my skin is always tender to the touch to the point were hugs are painful and also something as small as snapping my fingers hurts. It also seem sthat my tolerance for pain has greatly diminished. Also, i have no to low sex drive and my mentral cycles have always been irregular, ocurring from 2-3 months, where now i have gone 6 months without one, occuring. I have had a million blood tests at the doctors and he can never seem to find anything physically wrong with me other than insulin resistance. I was reading about cfs/ fibro and wondering if this sounds like what it could be. Medical history: Asthma 20 yrs.(i have been intubated twice due to asthma attacks) Insulin Resistance. I had a diagnosis of ebv in 2004. I currently take albuterol inhaler and prednisone on and off as needed for about a weeks time for the past 15 yrs.

I have a boy 6 yrs 8 months old ( 25 kgs weight). When he starts to sneeze he continues for 5 to six times with white thick nasal discharge coming out after two or three discharges. This condition is present in him for about three years.Of course, this does not mean that he sneezes frequently. But when he starts to sneeze it does not stop quickly.Three years back once when he had fever with cough and cold he started wheezing particulary after repeated coughing. So far I have seen four episodes in him with rougly eight months to one year gap between each episode.During the second and third such episodes he also complained about slight pain in the chest muscles and shortness of breath.During the first episode I took him to a pediatrician who told to my shock that he may have Asthma. He asked whether anyone in my family has it or not.My mother developed Bronchial Asthma at the age of 45+ due to over load of work and climbing of stairs and also because we used to have pet dogs and later cats in our family. She is still having the same problem. However, now netiher we have any pets in our house , nor there is any chance of vehicular pollution or cigarette smoke.I don t know how my child could get asthma. The doctor gave salbutamol to him and some antiboitics also. But I did not give the salbutamol tablets to him fearing that once it is given it may permanently damage his lungs.During the second such episode after about one year.I took him to my company hospital where the doctor suggested to give nebulizer with asthaline for 5 minutes. This time I obeyed and my son told that he felt releived .During the third time also as per the advice of our Company s doctor I gave him nebulizer for 5 minutes .Recently, he had fourth such episode after about one year gap. This time the doctor sggested nebulizer for 5 minutes at Hospital and also 2 salbutamol 2 mg tablets daily for five dyas along with Cefpodoxime 100 mg for 5 days ( 2 daily). When he was a small baby we used to keep him near to our closed wodden window as our bed was situated near the window) during sleeping after covering him with sweater and all other precautions during cold seasons. Is it that due to exposure to cold her lungs got damaged. The place where I used to work then used to get very cold during cold season.Anyway I used to keep a room heater below him also. Please confirm whether my child is asthamatic or not.Earlier to this episodes I used to give him cetrizine cough syrups on some occasions when he had cough and cold.

I used to use primatine mist until the drug companies and epa managed to get the fda to ban it. Now I am using the ventolin inhaler prescribed by my doctor. One lasts me about 2 to 3 months and the Dr. says I am using too much. I have had absolutely no side effects whatsoever, and I am wondering what she will offer me if I can t get the ventolin as I need it. I was a heavy smoker for many years and quit several months ago. I get congested in the evening and overnight but not so I can t breathe but just uncomfortable. I am in good shape and exercise every day and can work most guys my age, 76, under the table. During the day I feel just fine. It s only around bedtime and first thing in the morning that I use the inhaler. I think I can be the judge as to when and how much I use the inhaler. I have an appointment on coming Thursday and will see what the Dr. is going to say.
