Hello,
I have been dealing with acne since I was 14, I am now 21 and am not getting it as much however I have many scars on my back from it. So I want to see if theres a doctor who can actually help with my problem, because I have NOT been helped in the past.
I first started with my family doctor, through him I had got 2 different creams and 2 different pills none of which had worked, after a few months he referred me to a dermatologist.
At the dermatologist who I saw for around 2 years, I was prescribed every level of cream, and every level of pills. (went up a level each time the next wouldn't work) The only pill I did not take were pills which side effects included, extreme depression, and sometimes cases of attempted suicide. What I was prescribed with not only did not help, but it put a layer of skin ontop of my existing acne making it look like some sort of lump/scar. I now have numerous of these on my back which have not left for 3 years and counting.
After I gave up with the dermatologist, I decided to try a naturopath. He was the most useful. Turned out i had far too much testosterone and a little too much stress. He gave me some sort of pill which apparently fixed that. He also told me to cut dairy out my diet completely. And made me put baking soda and water on my back followed by matcha green tea mixed with a cream. This did work to an extent. I still however had scars.
I then decided to attempt to get laser treatment for these lumps. They told me 5-6 sessions should do the trick, but that they could not guarantee because back is different than my face. It did help a little but after around 1000$ and not much improvement I stopped at 5.
I noticed that exposure to good sun ( when i went to hawaii and mexico) helped the scars a little, or maybe it was the salt water I do not know.
In the end i still have the scars, still get acne a few times a week, and have tried EVERYTHING. My diet is changed extremely, I change my bed sheets often, only wear my clothes once, everything that is wash is used with special detergent. I change my towel often. I drink green tea a lot. Shower after I sweat, don't wear tight clothing while i workout. Use Hypoallergenic lotion. literally everything i have read I have tried.
Will someone please help?
