Hi and thanks for the query, PCOD is a disease that requires two important components in its management. The first is compliance to treatment and the second is patience. Duphaston used in the treatment is hormone that shall interfere with the basal hormone regulatory mechanisms if the body. The body therefore requires sometime to get used to it and to establish another basal functioning rhythm. It is therefore not unusual to experience persistent delays in periods or at times sporting. It is advised therefore to do a pregnancy tests when these abnormalities are noticed, or if after 3 months of a well controlled therapy, no improvement is noticed, it would be interesting to consult your gynecologist again. Thanks and best regards, Luchuo, MD.
