Suffering From Diabetes, Hypertension, Active Kidney & 3 Heart Blocks. Is There An Alternative For Open Heart Surgery?

My Mom 65 yrs old , had sudden chest pain and went to hospital and the doctors mentioned she has 3 major blocks in the heart which require a open heart surgery , My mom is diabetic , hypertension and under active kidney , because of her kidney's condition , she was advised by the primary care not to take heavy dose anti-biotic or pain killer , If she goes for Open heart , she will be given pain killer and anti-biotic , will that cause any side effect to her Kidney ? also , any other alternate treatment other than open heart , I am attaching the reports given by the Cardiologist , Please advise

Hi.
If your cardiologist has decided for surgery, your mom will be thoroughly investigated for complete blood counts, renal profile, dibetic profile, coagulation profile, liver profile, echocardigraphy and so many othrt things and will be given medical fitness before operation.
You are right that she should not be given pain killers and rest assured that she will be put on antibiotics which are safe in kidney disease.
There are alternatives available for everything, and it is always a team work.
Proper monitoring of urine, diabetic status, etc. will be ensured by a team of doctors during and after surgery.
Other alternative is angioplasty, but with triple vessel disease, and with other high risk factors in your mom, like diabetes and kidney disease risk is much more.
Your attachment of reports is not shown here, but i suppose your treating dr. must be the best judge.
Thanks.
