I went To an ent Dr. Today because my right ear hurts. I haven't been able to sleep for four nights. Now it hurts when I swallow something cold. He looked in my ear and said they were clear. Said it could be tmj. Hurts so much in ear. Scheduled ear tests but can't get in for a week...next tues. I don't think I can make it. We are going on vacation a week from Thursday. I can't imaging being on a plane. Please help. Thanks

As per your query you have ear pain which can be cause by many factors like stress , temporomandibular joint problem , wisdom tooth , cervical spondolysis and increase blood pressure. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like audiometery , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax build-up , middle ear infection. Keep your ear drops along with you. You should take antibiotics along with anti inflammtory medicines like ibuprofen and diclofenac. Take steam inhalation. Avoid excessive hard substance eating.
