Suffer With Osteo Changes, Prescribed Diacerin, GM-2. How Long Should I Take These?
I am a 61 yrs. old male. Osteo changes in the knees since last 25 years. Still quite active. Doctors have prescribed Diacerin GM - 2 Tablets per day and Neucobal Forte - 2 tablets per day. My questions is how long I should take these and whether these will actually help in growing cartlige and delaying worsening of the conditons of the knees.
read your query that is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem
i will try my best to answer your query
the medicines are not going to help you regrow the cartilages. one of t he main reasons they are given is to prevent further deterioration and hence need to be consumed longer
while you are at try some calcium supplementation and get a check of vitamin D and bone scan for the other osteo- porosis
i hope this helps you inform the reports mentioned above (if any) so i can be of help further best of luck
(please do understand that some problem remains as online texting cuts down history and examination thereby reducing the effect and efficiency and increases reliance on tests)
