Hi, thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.

During pregnancy BP falls and the fall is lowest in mid pregnancy (by about 10 mm of Hg). During the last three months of pregnancy, Bp gradually increases to pre pregnancy level. Although it falls again immediately after delivery by around the 5 th day of delivery, it comes back to normal or in some people it increases above normal value.

Even women, whose BP was normal throughout pregnancy, experience short term increase in BP immediately after delivery. May be your body is still trying to adjust to the changes of BP that has occured during pregnancy. But if you pass cloudy urine, you should check for proteinuria to rule out kidney problems.

Or may be your fluctuating BP indicates resistant hypertension (BP not responding to drugs), that could be due to post partum pulmonary hypertension (PAH). Conventional anti hypertensive drugs may not be very effective for controlling PAH.

I hope this is useful to you.
