Hello, Constipation is when you have a bowel movement less than three times per week. When you do go, the stool is hard and difficult to pass. There are several natural ways to prevent this condition. Most of them take just minutes a day.

Your Garnny should follow these steps to cure the constipation naturally.

Drink plenty of water. Most people who suffer from constipation are dehydrated. Water is essential in moving waste matter through the colon. Drinking 6 to 8 8-oz. glasses of water can help prevent constipation.

Eat a high fiber diet. Fiber is an important element in promoting healthy digestion. Fiber helps to add bulk to stools, making them easier to pass through the bowel. Your diet should include fiber-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Avoid dehydrating liquids such as soda, coffee and tea. Avoid too much alcohol consumption, as alcohol also has a dehydrating effect on the body. Cut your intake of meat, eggs, cheese and refined processed foods.

If possible ask her to walk ,regular walk can prevent constipation.

Cleanse your colon with natural remedies such as Colon Sweep. There are products available that are made with natural ingredients, including psyllium husks, and can help to cleanse your colon of built-up waste resulting from constipation.

Take natural remedies such as Natural Moves that can relax the bowel, ease tension and promote regular bowel movements. Many such products are available online or at health food stores. Regards.

Hi I am suffering from acute constipation (hard stool and straining bowel) for 10 days. I eat plenty of fibre and green vegetables and moderate amount of raw unpeeled fruits along with drinking 10 glasses of water a day. Getting worse by the day. Need urgent help. I m a 47 year old male who has recently a month ago been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and my doctor has prescribed me gluconorm SR 300 mg two tablets a day. Also have high triglycerides and got non-alchoholic fatty liver for which I m taking Stanley fenofibrate 145 mg per day, 2 tablets of ursodiol tablets, Evion vitamin E 400 mg two tablets a day. Also take one tablet of teleact telmisartan 80 mg per day for my hypertension. And one tabler per day of aspirin at night.

My husband has Type 2 diabetes and takes Glucophage. He has always had some difficulty going to the toilet, but since being diagnosed 12 months ago with diabetes the problem has become much worse. He sometimes goes days and days without going to the toilet and, of course, this becomes uncomfortable for him. Our Doctor has prescribed Fybogel twice daily, regrettably with little effect. He also takes Maximum Strength Senokot, again with little effect. He has a very healthy diet, (being diabetic), muesli for breakfast, lots of fresh vegetables and fresh fruit and I always make sure he drinks plenty of fluids. Have you any suggestions that may help. Many thanks.

I am a male, 27 years, vegetarian. I was having constipation 2 days ago and saw blood in my stool. This because of a wound near the anus. I started taking Isabgol (phyllum husk). It still is hurting but not to that great extent. There still seems to be some constriction. What medication should I take?

Dear doctor, I am a 74-year-old female, 172cm tall, weighing 67kg. Two years ago I was diagnosed with colon cancer, had major surgery twice and spent a total of 3 months in hospital. In Sept. 2010 I had abdominal hernia repair. I have been constipated ever since the second operation. This was kept under control by using various kinds of over-the-counter laxatives. In the last few months the condition has become much worse, impacted faeces most likely. Strong laxatives and Movicol (macrogol) no longer work. My GP recommended daily consumption of oat bran soaked in milk and mixed with psyllium husk. This worked for almost 3 weeks, but now I can only have bowel movements by taking sodium picosulfate powder, which results in watery stools. - I would be most grateful for any suggestion. Many thanks!

Hi I'm 28 and 16 weeks pregnant and its my first baby. I usually get constipated very easily and in pregnancy it has worsen. I'm using Isphagul (pure psyllium husk) mixed in water and now i'm having a bowel movement every alternative day. That's some how fine, but now I have a severe pain while passing stools and sometimes it bleeds. Its painful for the next 3 to 4 hours and then the pain disappears but the pain is too much and I cant bear. Hence I started using Xyloproct and Betadine ointments in that affected area. Is it good to use these ointments during pregnancy? If not please suggest some alternative and help.
