Hello,
Generally such types of diabetes where the patient is having high levels of blood sugar at such a age are cases of MODY or LADA type of diabetes.
Although you have to be tested for the presence for GAD antibodies and C - peptide levels to differentiate between two,you seem to be having MODY,since you have been controlled on very low dose of sulfonylureas.
Treatment involves meticulous control of sugar levels by diet control, physical exercises and regular medications and has to be carried life long.
Thanks
