Sudden Unexplained Bruises On Right Leg Before Periods, Muscle Weakness, Numb Feet. Treatment?

Hi doc! I am a bit worried coz I have sudden, unexplained bruises on my right leg. I have these before menstruation . Now, my period had stopped but there are new bruises starting on the same leg. For few weeks now, I have constant muscle weakness on arms and legs and numbness on feet and hands. I would like to know what causes this and what should I do. Thank you!

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Unexplained appearance of bruises without any history of injury can happen due to platelet dysfunction or recent viral illness, drug intake or a bleeding disorder. Detailed examination and blood investigations are entailed to detect the cause.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
