Stuffy Nose With Small Amounts Of Blood When Blown
Over winter I got a normal cold but every since then my nose is always stuffy... I can still breath through it but it is still stuffy. And when I blew my nose there is small amounts of blood and some coagulated (spelling?) Blood. I recently went on low carb and low sugar diet because I have a family history of diabetes and my last reading was pretty high and my nose bleeding got worse. Now there is more blood when I blow my nose. Any suggestions?
Hi, It seems that due to cold and congestion inner part of nose might be sore and might producing some bleeding. Blood might have clotted inside the nasal cavity producing clotted blood. Take some decongestant medicine. Put Otrivin nasal drops. Avoid sneezing or do not try to remove crusts from nose. Seeing blood sugar very high and h/o diabetes in family there is strong possibility of having diabetes. Go for all tests for diabetes after consulting your physician. Ok and take care.
