Strong random pains in my heart, please suggest me remedy for it

Strong random pains in my heart? I get random strong pain s in my chest (in my heart) from time to time. What could be the cause of this, is it something i should go to a doctor over? When i get the pains, i get them in my heart and they especially hurt like hell when i take a deep breath in. It usually goes away after about a minute. About me: I am male, 21, very unfit but not obese, average build. Also, I have recently given up smoking, I am off them for nearly 7 weeks now. I use to smoke 20 a day for the last 3 years. But i also use to get these pains when I did smoke. I know i should go to a doctor but i ve had these pains for the last year or two, and its only very rarely. and i am very unfit at the moment. My question is... what are these pains and what are they a result of? hi abbi. ya its exactly the same. so its prob just heart burn. I didn t know what heart burn was but i would imaging thats all i have. Oh and thank you for the person who said quote you are overweight! . Ouch man!

I'm pretty sure I had the same thing. I'm 24 now and since I was 19 I had occasional pains in my heart, maybe once a week. Sometimes it hurt when I went to sleep, I was also not FATFAT but a bit overweight and I wasnt eating right at all. They are gone now though, I only feel them when I put my heart through a lot of pressure. As in if I have a few redbulls when i am out etc. At the time I was worried too but sometimes you can sense when its serious and when its not. I knew the pains were there because I was eating shite and drinking too much but you still worry it might be something worse. I think you will find it you ease back on coffee/redbull/ caffeine things in general the pain will go completely. Also if you do a few runs, I know its so boring and a total pain but if you do some gentle runs, even once a week for 15 minutes you would be surprised at the difference. Oh .. if you are thinking of or if you have experimented with drugs as a lot of people your age do , be wary of cocaine/ecstasy drugs, they will rapidly increase your heart rate and if ure heart is a little weaker that it should be from bad diet and lack of excercise then it could cause you damage. Just incase.. ! Anyway .. small bit of excercise, ease up on things like butter and grease..cholesterol can clog your arteries which is the general cause for heart pains. Anyway I am pretty sure that you will be fine, I think you are pretty sure as well just a little worried. But I'll say what everyone else here says 'SEE A DOCTOR!' but I reckon it will turn out to be nothing.

My heart will start to beat really fast and it will feel like when i breath it is inhaled through a filter. at times i fell hot, but not really if that makes sense at all. sometimes i get pain that isn t a constant. sometimes its just in the chest. sometimes its through the neck also. sometimes the pain is feeling like sinus pain as well. and sometimes my whole body. i can move freely and rarely get to the point where i feel like shouldn t move. In a sense to me it sounds like a heart attack, but i have had this problem randomly (maybe 3-5 times a year) its a god aweful feeling. i can remember first experiencing this when i was about 8 or 10 (earliest memory of it) just walking outside. other times its after a bike ride, running, or just doing daily things. its not always an active attack, it does happen when im not doing anything at all too.

20 years old, 5 10 , about 80kilos. Occasional smoker of cigarettes and cannabis, occasional drinker.Suffered severe chest pain during marijuana-induced panic attack. Very strong coursing pain beneath the left nipple. Have experienced this once before, went to hospital and got given some saline and laid down for a few hours. I m wondering if the elevated heart rate has damaged my heart or my arteries or something? (Needless to say this will be the last time I smoke cannabis.)

Okay so I m a 15 year old girl and active with running( when it s cross country season but I m off right now) and on the skinny side weighing 95 pounds being 5 2 . I get these occasional (has happened about 8 or 9 times) heart discomfort so that when I breathe out kind of deeply there s a sharp pain near the bottom of my left lung near my heart. I think it has happened once or twice when I ate too much greasy food, when I laugh way too much, when I get over excited like when I played tennis the other day it occurred, and has randomly happened when I haven t done anything. These attacks last around 30mins to about a couple of hours. The worst case was when I still had it and went to bed and couldn t sleep on my left side because every time my heart beat there was once again a sharp pain but it was gone in the morning. I m just wondering if this could turn out to be a serious problem or just random chest pains that young people get. Please don t answer if u have no clue b/c it s a waste.

Diagnosed with gastritis 5 months ago, had three benign biopsies during endoscopy, was told to stay on Prilosec 20mg. Stopped daily caffeine diet soft drinks (24-32 oz a day at that time) and changed diet. Have no stomach discomfort but still had mild heartburn when I tried to stop Prilosec for a couple weeks. Do I stay on Prilosec forever? Concerned about long-term effect.

Hello Doctor, My partner has had loss of taste and smell and is confusing tastes and has a constant earthy, mouldy taste in his mouth which I can smell on his breath. He has been taking medication for indigestion, heartburn and colestoral and last October had minor surgery in his throat for a small growth on his vocal chords. He has since been advised to cease the medications but this has not helped. I would like a gastroscopy but his doctor has not suggested this. They think its related to the reflux. We are looking for some new ideas please. Glenda and Bob
