Stringy white discharge from eyes, occurs on waking up. Treatment for discharge?

Hello, I have had stringy white stuff come from my eyes for years. It doesn t hurt, but it s there all the time. I remove it and it s back within a matter of minutes. I ve noticed that the first thing I do in the morning is look at my eyes in a mirror and pull the gooey stuff from the corners before washing my face. What could this be? It s very annoying especially when it s noticeable to others.

Ropy white discharge is due to allergies. Frequent eye wading, anti allergic and dry eye treatment will help.other causes like lid or longstanding low grade infections should be looked for and treated. You should consult a good eye specialist.
Take care
