Stopped Taking Hyzaar After The Pressure Went Up And Started Taking Bystolic But Sudden Change In Pressure Now. Can I Switch Back To Hyzaar Without Rx?
Yes thank you. I had been on Hyzaar for 1 and 1/2 yrs and just lately my pressure was up so the doctor changed me to Bystolic, I've been on it for 2 weeks now. The first week my pressure was fine. I'm visiting back home for the holidays right now and for the last 2 days my pressure has been high 170/100. My dr. is on vacation also and I would like to go back to Hyzaar (I still have some). Can I abruptly stop the Bystolic and switch back to Hyzaar?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. Don't worry, you was using the hyzaar ,the losartan since 18 months, you would have got the resistance to it. Now you have started bystolic, the nebivolol, but may be due to tension, the B.P. has raised to 170/100.Now you can use the hyzaar. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms alprazolam .5mg at night, for 10 days to get the B.P. controlled. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to have a good health. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
