Stomachache. Bladder Infection Or Gas? Can I Give Charcoal Tablets?

My six year old has been complaining about a very sore tummy for the last few days. He says it hurts all over and its waking him up at night. He has passed a motion but it hasnt helped. He has a cold at the moment but i dont think that has anything to do with it. Could it be a bladder infection or just gas? Can i give him charcoal tablets for gas?

HI,
I AM DR.KAVITHA. I WOULD LIKE TO HELP.
ACTUALLY A COLD CAN CAUSE STOMACH ACHE. THERE IS AN ENTITY CALLED MESENTRIC LYMPHADENITIS (PAINFUL SWELLING OF SOME LYMPHNODES IN THE ABDOMEN) WHICH USUALLY FOLLOWS A VIRAL RESPIRATORY INFECTION.
IT IS USUALLY A BENIGN CONDITION(MEANS GOES AWAY BY ITSELF). THE ONLY WAY TO CONFIRM IT IS BY DOING A ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION OF THE ABDOMEN.
CHARCOAL WILL NOT HELP IN THIS CASE OR IN CASE OF 'GAS" OR "BLADDER INFECTION". POWDERED ACTIVATED CHARCOAL IS USUALLY USED NOWADAYS FOR REMOVAL OF INGESTED POISONS .
PLEASE GET A PEDIATRIC CONSULTATION IF THE PAIN CONTINUES.CHILDREN ARE USUALLY NOT VERY GOOD AT DESCRIBING THEIR SYMPTOMS AND CAN ALSO DETERIORATE QUITE FAST IN CASE OF COMPLICATIONS.
BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.TAKE CARE.
