Woke up tonight with bad stomach pain and sudden urge to make a bowel movement . Later in the night was woken up again this time the same thing but with bad heartburn and when going to the bathroom it was diarrhea instead of a solid bowel movement. Welcome to HCM!

Aftre reading your question it appears that you have developed gastrointestinal infection; which is a very common problem, so. do nor worry a lot; I can understand that it is very troublesome in itself.

Had I been treating you, the most important thing to keep in mind in this is to maintain adequate hydration ; i.e. please keep on eating / drinking some thing; preferably take some lemon water wth salt and sugar, ewe sips Aftre every few minutes, or electrol/ home made not stop eating as this will give more weakness.
For infection I think you will need an antibiotic, I find ciprofloxacin with metronidazole very good for abdominal infections...taken twice a day, with some antacid and paracetamol ( if you have fever too). if there are spasms in abdomen, means painful bowel movements, taking mefenamic acid will be good.

With medicines you will become much better in one two doses only.

the doctor may ask you to get some blood tests done, and if there are frequent loose stools, please take injectables initially.

Hope the reply is helpful
