Stomach Pain, Bloated Stomach, Gas. Taking Miralax

My wife has problems at night when she tries to sleep. After about 2 to 3 hours, she is woken by lower right side back pain and bloating of her stomach. She gets up and tries to pass gas or use the rest room. She has had recent bowel movements and her stool is not dark or hard. Her pain subsides after she gets up and walks around about 30 minutes to an hour later. She tries to lay down on her side, back and/or stomach to see where she has the most relief. Nothing makes it better for her. The only mild relief she gets is if she sleeps with her upper body is in an inclined position...like in a reclining chair. Laying flat to sleep just doesn't work. She's been taking Miralax for the last week and her bower movements have improved but she still has bloating and lots of gas after she wakes.

Hi, many thanks for the query!
Avoid eating spicy food, avoid alcohol (if consuming) & also
avoid late night meals.
You need to do- USG (Abdo-Pelvis), X-ray KUB, Stool (R/M),
RFT, CBC, Urine (R/M).
Your pain may be renal stone related, can be confirmed with
above investigations.
Till then take antispasmodics, pain killers, antacids, stool softners with
your doctor's opinion.
Drink plenty of water so that at least 2 litres of urine is voided in 24 hrs.
Wish you a good health.
Take care.
Regards.
