Stomach feels sick and burps, after eating or drinking. Diagnosed with Anxiety. Is it a stomach infection?

After christmas I caught a stomach virus so I was vomitting out the day. Ever since that day everytime and everything I eat or drink my stomach feels really bubbly and sickly and I lightly burp it out within a few hours. I have also been diagnosed with anxiety this past week after some nights of stress and panicing trying to sleep. I really want to get my normal self back even tho I have been in the same un healthy 230 -240 pound range for over a few years now but other then that I just want to feel like my self again. What is there that I can do about these peoblems?

Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you are having increased acidity andgas production in your stomach resulting in your symptoms.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1. Avoid spicy/oily foods.
2. Do not miss a meal.
3. Avoid mental/emotional stress.
4. Avoid eating fast.
5. Do not talk while eating.
6. Avoid gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, lentils, etc.
7. Drink at least 8-10 glass of water daily.

You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40 mg along with Domperidone 10 mg once a day before meals for relief from your symptoms.
Digestive enzymes containing pepsin and fungal diastase will have added beneficial effect.

You should also go for H.pylori test.
If the symptoms persists, get an Endoscopy done.

I hope this is helpful to you.
