Hi,

Since you are a known patient of gastritis, Barrette;s esophagus, hiatal hernia with dysplasia means you have undergone Upper GI Endoscopy and biopsy. You are taking Prilosec for the last 2 years and still getting burning and paining in abdomen.
This indicates to find out anything else other than the history you have already mentioned.
Hence with symptoms of bloating, constipation, yellow mucus and so on indicate for the following:
Stool tests for 3 consecutive days.
CT scan of abdomen with contrast to know the status of small and large intestines.
Relevant tests of blood.
Review Upper GI Endoscopy as you have not consulted your Doctors for the last 2 years.
All these things will give a proper diagnosis and thus allow a specific cause of the conditions so that an appropriate management can be done with results.
Hiatus hernia if large needs surgical correction.
Continue Prilosec but have additional medicines like Antacids, Domperidone for motility problems.
If anything specific is found during the additional investigations then you can have a specific cause as found.
Have soft bland diet in small and frequent ways.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
General Surgeon
