Sternum pressure that worsens on standing or sitting and breathing, raw feeling in throat. Remedy?

I am experiencing sternum pressure and discomfort and also a raw feeling in lower throat . This pressure hurts worse when standing and sitting and bending over at the waist , but relief when laying down. It started last night when asleep and woke me up at 2:30 in the morning. I had some relief when I woke up this morning but has gotten worse throughout the day. It hurts worse when I breathe in and out.

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. According to your description the problem appears to be cardiac origin , but not sure. for confarmation you need to consult a physician. you may have to take E.C.G, ECHO cardiogram, T.M.T,test for confermation, along with other routine tests.
Other possibilities are eosinophelia, gastric hyperacidity, etc. The physician will have an idea about them and he will exclude the possibility.
Besides i advise you to follow some diet recommendations as avoid tacking more of spices, chillies, junk foods, and oily foods as these may secondarily show the exagaration of the pain.
Take more of water, and soft drinks, and see that there is no constipation.
Wishing for a quick recovery of pain and thanks for calling.
