Stabbed In Chest, Bleeding, Iced It. Taken Cipro And Tylenol. Will I Get Better?

Accidentally stab myself with a knife in my chest. I bled for 10 minutes and also apply ice on the wound. I also took a Cipro pill. I am felling fine just a little pain around the wound. What should I expect to happen in the coming week? Can I go to work tomorrow? Also can i take Tylenol extra strength for the pain? Thank you

hi,
Welcome to health care magic.
Getting stabbed by a routine kitchen knife can be dangerous if it has been contaminated with bacteria, it can lead to infection. If the stab wound is deep then it can lead to serious injuries like pneumothorax hemothorax and chest infections and empyema later on, so it will be in the best interest of yourself to go to a local clinic and get a chest xray done and if wound is clean then it should be sutured and dressing should be done and if it is deep and infected then dressing and antibiotics and painkillers will also be needed.
taking a random Cipro tablet is of harm rather then any benefit. In injured state you should rest rather than going to work.
I think my advice will be helpful you.
