Sprained ankle, swelling in the foot, severe pain. What to do?

i broke my ankle on the inside of my right ankle and badly sprained it on the outside and inside of my ankle 8 weeks ago. When i stand up my foot sweels more and turns even more purple and becomes very painful on my ankle and foot when trying to walk with or without my crutches. I'm due back at the hospital in a week for a check up, can you offer me any advice. thanks MR. Jodie Sewell.

Hi !
From your history it appears that your ankle has not yet recovered from the injury. Try not to put too much effort to use your ankle prematurely. Ankle injuries generally take longer duration to recover from injuries compared to other joints because of less blood supply.
