Hi. I ve had a spot on my abdomen for a couple of years that looks like a blackhead , yet if I squeeze it, the stuff that comes out smells awful. I ve only noticed the smell in the past few weeks. is this something to worry about?

Hi,

The description is consistent with sebaceous cyst. It is the infection of the sebaceous gland on the skin. The black head is nothing but the punctum or hold of the gland which is clogged with sebum. Since there is no drainage of the sebum, it got infected with bacteria causing smelling sebum.

I suggest an examination by the GP / Surgeon for proper treatment. Depending on the size and appearance it differs.

Regards
