Sores On Arms And Legs, Bleeding. Bugs Laying Eggs Below Skin?

Hello, I m concerned about a co-worker of mine. She has sores all over her arms and legs. She is constantly picking at them and bleeding . I have mentioned that she should be treated by her doctor or a dermatologist but her excuse for not going is that she doesn t have the money. These sores look like bug bites that have been scratched. She said that when she picks the scab that there is a black spec on the scab and then another one grows back. Is there such thing as a bug that could be laying eggs under her skin causing the reoccurance? I m concerned that this could be contagious!! Please help with any advice.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Hope I have provided the information you needed.
Wish you good health. Take care.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.

Based on the information i think either these is contact dermatitis or insect bite or the scabies.

They can be diagnosed by examination as they will present with typical rash. The treatment options will also very.

Presently i advice you to wash the affected area with mild soap. Topical antihistamine creams will be helpful in addressing the itching, these re over the counter medication.

If the symptoms are due to insect bite or due to contact dermatitis, further exposure should be avoided and the above mentioned treatment will be helpful.

In case of scabies there are specific treatment can be considered only after exact diagnoses. i advice you to see dermatologist if the symptom persists or the severity increases.
