I am a 17 year old male and have recently (about 2 weeks) been experiencing a soreness in the left side of my neck. Ive noticed that the left side feels slightly larger than the right and it also has some stiffness. The cause that I believe this to be is swollen neck glands but I am also scared that it could be a blood clot or tumor. For the past 3 days I have also experienced mild headaches and a larger amount of stress than usual. The headaches have gone away with Advil but may be connected to the neck problem
As home remedy you may try warm saline gargles for sore throat. Hot Water Fomentation (with help of hot water bag or heating pad) for neck stiffness may offer relief. A cup of Tea with a cardamom (Green Elaichi) also helps relieve soreness. The headache seems to be more due to apprehension since nobody has diagnosed or somebody may have suggested a possible diagnosis. I would suggest to divert your attention until it is proved by investigations because these are very rare possibilities. However, please seek medical advise from a registered licensed ENT Consultant there (close to your residence) for confirmation and treatment of illness. You may try say a brief prayer or take to some light leisure activity like sport, painting, music etc. to divert attention and release the undue tension and cheer up your mood.
