Sore Throat, Swollen Tongue In Back Side, Cough Producing Greenish Caramel Like Mucus. On Asmanex Twisthaler For Asthma. Infection?

Hi Dr. Grief,
I have had a sore throat since Friday with more soreness on the left side. It feels like the back left side of my tongue is swollen, too. Also I have had a cough for 2 days and producing a greenish, caramel-like consistency mucus. When I do blow my nose I only produce it is clear. Now I am on Asmanex Twisthaler for asthma, 1 puff each night. I do not know if this med is making the greenish color of mucus? How long do I wait before calling the Doc? Does this sound viral or bacterial?
