Sore Throat, Heavy Chest, Difficulty In Breathing. Treatment ?

Hi. I have a sore throat deep in my throat not at the back of mouth and a heavy chest that makes breathing a bit hard. Feeling slightly unwell but nothing else right now. Am starting school this week so trying to figure out if I need to be proactive about getting to docs for antibiotics or if I should just get airborne from the store to stop it progressing?

Hi,

It is advisable that you get your throat examined for any streptococcal throat infection. In such a case, you need to take a course of antibiotic like Amox.

Meanwhile, you can do salt water gargling with warm water thrice a day to prevent its progression. In addition, you may try Betadine mouth gargle.

Hope this helps.

Get well soon.
