Sore gums, flossed few times, stood up quickly, lightheaded and dizzy

Hi. My gums have been sore today so I flossed a couple of times and they feel better. However, I stood up quickly before and got light headed and almost fell over. Do either of these symptoms hint at something? I shoudl note that I have a 5 week old at home along with a teething 20 month old.

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for writing in.
Light headedness when you suddenly get up is suggestive of a low blood pressure. I would suggest that you take plenty of fluids like water, lemon water and Gatorade. Electral ( oral rehydration solution) would also be useful.
In all, your symptoms may be suggestive of a mild viral infection and nothing much needs to be done about this.
I would suggest you have small, frequent meals, plenty of fluids and plenty of fruits and vegetables. That should help.
I hope I have addressed your concerns.
